Far Sight Media founder, Jason Keel, is a multi-award winning TV producer and a key figure behind several of the most-watched news and documentary programs in Canada. He joined Global National News in 2001 when it was a start-up and helped grow the show into the most-watched national newscast by the mid-2000s with more than a million nightly viewers. Among the many awards the broadcast received was a Gemini (now called Canadian Screen Award) for best national newscast in 2007. In 2010, Jason left his role as the senior producer of Global National to become the executive producer of Global Toronto, which went on to win several national and international Best Newscast awards, including a Canadian Screen Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and an RTNDA Award.

In 2013, Jason joined the team behind the number one documentary/reality show in Canada: Discovery Channel’s Highway Thru Hell. The show has set records for not only the most-watched documentary/reality show in Canadian history but its one-million-plus weekly viewership surpasses all Canadian-produced dramas, as well. Internationally, Highway Thru Hell is the number one show of its kind in most of the 170 countries where it's broadcast. It's seen by 100 million people around the world.

In 2016, Jason expanded his role to also create and supervise the story team for Heavy Rescue: 401. It debuted as the most-watched premiere in Canadian specialty TV history with more than 3.3 million viewers in the first week. Between the two shows, Jason has been Supervising Story Producer of more than 130 episodes.

Jason has also worked on many TV development concepts with the pilot episode of one his concepts, LOGO, leading to an option agreement for production.
